About the Position

The Omaha Symphony is seeking a Viola player for the position of Core Section Viola. This is a tenure-track position. The Omaha Symphony’s season is stylistically diverse, and equal emphasis is placed on public performances and education/community engagement programs. Some travel will be required within the Omaha Metro area.

Compensation and Benefits

The 2025/2026 season is 38 weeks. The annual salary for this position is $44,257.90. Benefits include paid personal, sick, & audition leave, a two-week paid holiday break in December, partially subsidized health & dental, and instrument insurance, and up to 4% match on an employer-sponsored 403(b) retirement fund.

* The Collective Barging Agreement is currently under negotiation, salary and benefits may change.

Audition Process

This will be a multi-round audition. Live Preliminary will be held on Monday, Mondy May 12^th, 2025 and the Semi Final and Final Round on Tuesday May 13^th 2025 in Omaha. If the position is filled by a current member of the orchestra, the runner-up may be offered the resulting vacancy.
