About the Position
The Omaha Symphony is seeking a Viola player for the position of Core Section Viola. This is a tenure-track position. The Omaha Symphony’s season is stylistically diverse, and equal emphasis is placed on public performances and education/community engagement programs. Some travel will be required within the Omaha Metro area.
Compensation and Benefits
The 2025/2026 season is 38 weeks. The annual salary for this position is $44,257.90. Benefits include paid personal, sick, & audition leave, a two-week paid holiday break in December, partially subsidized health & dental, and instrument insurance, and up to 4% match on an employer-sponsored 403(b) retirement fund.
* The Collective Barging Agreement is currently under negotiation, salary and benefits may change.
Audition Process
This will be a multi-round audition. Live Preliminary will be held on Monday, Mondy May 12th, 2025 and the Semi Final and Final Round on Tuesday May 13th 2025 in Omaha. If the position is filled by a current member of the orchestra, the runner-up may be offered the resulting vacancy.
